Azure DevOps Integration

Create a Personal Access Token (PAT)

1. Sign in to to your Azure DevOps instance: https://dev.azure.com/{yourorganizationname}

2. From your home page, open User Settings and select Personal access tokens.

   

3. Now select +New Token.

   

4. Name your token, select the organization where you want to use the token, and then set your token to automatically expire after a set number of days.

   

5. Next, click on Show all scopes to expand the selection window.

   

6. Select Read on every scope that has it available.

   

7. Click Create at the bottom

   

8. Copy the token and store it in a secure location. For your security, this will not display again.

Add Configuration

1. Navigate to the Integrations tab using the left-hand menu, find Azure DevOps, and select +Add Configuration.

   

2. Next, fill in the details below and select Continue.

   

   Organization: Your organization's name.

   Name: Enter the name of the integration.

   is Enabled: Toggle button to ensure data is populated into Compyl.

   Username: Your user name in Azure DevOps.

   Key: The Personal Access Token you generated above.

   Once you have completed filling out the form click Save Configuration.

3. Choose your Endpoints and Begin Validation to validate your connection.

   

4. Select any Blueprints you wish to associate with this integration.

   

5. After you hit Continue, you'll see a summary screen. Click Return to Integrations to complete the configuration.

   

Once you have completed filling out the form click Return to Integrations.

You'll know the integration is successfully added when the status updates to Complete.

Data is synced on a recurring schedule configured by your Compyl administrator. Each sync pulls the latest data from all enabled endpoints.
